Noah
part 1
***
The full moon illuminates the sky. My heart pounding vigorously; my body troubling, I could see my breath as it escaped my lungs. The people bellow me look so small, so far. I looked up to see my reflection off of building across from me.
“Why are you doing this?”
“Because it’s the only way,” I replied.
“The only way to do what?”
“To stop all this…. I can’t do it anymore.”
“Yes you can, just take my hand and I will help you.”
“ No! you can’t help me! All your help leaves me with blood on my hands… and vaguely horrible memories.”
“But when I am in control all those thoughts are gone, all the pain melts away, I will make you great. I can make you rich, powerful, loved, just take my hand and it will all be better.”
“No… you can’t! I know how to fix it, I know what I have to do.” I step off the ledge and begin to fall, the air wiped around me as the ground became bigger, more detailed. Then there was silence sweet, sweet, silence follow by utter darkness.
